Our Story

The pot makes the yogurt

Pílino means “made of clay”. It is not packaging — it is the method.

A terracotta pot of Greek yogurt topped with walnuts and honey, held up beneath the Pilino shopfront sign
  1. Set in clay

Unglazed terracotta, filled by hand every morning. The yogurt is not poured into the pot afterwards — it sets inside it.

  2. It breathes

Clay is porous. Moisture leaves slowly through the walls, so the yogurt thickens on its own, the way it has for generations.

  3. Nothing added

No strainers, no thickeners, no milk powder. Only milk from local farms, and the time the clay takes.

Thyme and pine honey. Walnuts cracked in-house. Served the morning it is made.
